You can join the ELA online as an full, associate, corporate or judicial member.
Full Members
Annual membership fee: £80 (£20 for lawyers working for voluntary sector organisations)
Qualified lawyers (including foreign lawyers) with two or more years' experience in employment law who are materially engaged in the provision of employment law services to clients in the British Isles.
Associate Members
Annual membership fee: £40
Trainee lawyers and qualified lawyers with less than two years' experience in employment law who are materially engaged in the provision of employment law services to clients in the British Isles.
EU lawyers who are fully qualified and who are materially engaged in the provision of employment law services to clients in another EU member state.
Qualified lawyers who are materially engaged in research of employment law or the academic or vocational teaching of employment law.
Annual membership fee: £285 for 1-5 lawyers using ELA services; £55 per additional 5 (or fewer) lawyers using ELA services (flat rate of £50 for voluntary sector organisations)
The above membership fee entitles corporate members with offices in any one region to receive ELA services.
Organisations such as firms of solicitors, barristers' chambers and in-house legal departments
involved to a material extent in the practice of employment law in the British Isles.
Judicial Members
Annual membership fee: £40
Members of the judiciary with experience in the practice of employment law in the British Isles.
