International Committee

The International Committee is responsible for building on ELA’s profile and influence abroad. An important part of this work involves building relations and organising events with employment lawyer associations in other jurisdictions.

Another important aspect of the International Committee’s work is its regular visits to the European Commission. Representative from the committee meet with senior representatives in the Unit for Labour Law and Work Organisation to discuss the Commission’s policy direction and report back to members on what is in the pipeline from Europe. A report of the November 2007 visit will be available shortly.

The International Committee organises a programme of training in international employment law.

International Training Sessions

Termination of Employment and Negotiated Severances in France and Germany – further details will be available soon.
