ELA City Regulation Committee

Thursday, October 1, 2020

The ELA City Regulation Committee is one of ELA’s standing committees which sits under the ELA Legislative & Committee. It is set up to respond to employment law matters arising from  consultations and legislative proposals made by HMG, the Financial Conduct Authority, Prudential Regulation Authority and other relevant regulatory bodies that particularly impact the City and UK financial Services. Past consultation responses have related to the Extension of the Senior Managers Regime, the Regulatory Reference regime, executive remuneration and other matters.

We are very grateful to Caroline Stroud of Freshfields who has chaired this committee so well since its inception and is now stepping down. We are fortunate that Alistair Woodland of Clifford Chance is stepping up as chair in Caroline’s place.

We would like to invite ELA members to apply to join this committee and would welcome applications from both solicitors and barristers with an interest in the area, either in private practice or in house who regularly advise employers or individuals on the matters cited above.

To apply, please email us by 5pm on 26 October 2020, with a brief (no more than 200 word) outline of your practice and why you would be interested to join the ELA City Regulation Committee.
