With the vaccine roll-out now well underway across the UK, there continues to be much discussion about whether an employer can require its employees to have a COVID-19 vaccine.

The issue is a complex one to which there is no simple answer but during this session Sarah and Jane will signpost and discuss many of the relevant legal considerations including:

The employer's health and safety obligations;

  • The contractual issues arising from introducing such a requirement;
  • The data protection considerations arising in respect of collecting and processing personal data concerning health;
  • The considerations arising in relation to Article 8 of the European Convention of Human Rights;
  • The grounds on which an employee may be able to object including:
    • Philosophical belief
    • Disability
    • Pregnancy
    • Religion
    • Race

There will be live Q&A and you may also submit your questions to us before the webinar here.
