The COVID pandemic has resulted in more widespread (and more creative) forms of employee engagement. In addition, while environmental concerns have been moving up the corporate agenda for some time, the “S” in ESG is now becoming more prominent. This session will explore the latest thinking on employee engagement and ESG, and how they may impact the future of work. Topics we will consider include:

  • Employee engagement – trends emerging in the past 12 months, in terms of mechanics and subject matter of engagement, and whether / how these will apply post-COVID
  • Wider implications of ESG for employment – impact on business travel, commuting, remote/hybrid working patterns, and equalities issues
  • ESG and employee engagement disclosure requirements for listed companies – current trends, and whether these will become broader market practice for non-listed employers
