Moving on up – Social Mobility and Discrimination

The 2023 Annual Lecture will consider Social Mobility, the current position under discrimination law and potential developments on the law.

This will be a panel session in which we will discuss:

  • The existing position under the Equality Act 2010 in England and Wales;
  • Lessons that can be learned from how the Equality Act has been implemented in Scotland;
  • Potential future developments of the law in this area;
  • Obligations and guidelines for employers
