This webinar, arranged by ELA's Pastoral Committee, is an introduction to meditation and mindfulness and is suitable for all levels or experience, including complete beginners.

This webinar will discuss:

  • How mindfulness has moved into mainstream and example corporate role models
  • Explanation of emotional, physical and mental benefits with examples of groundbreaking research
  • The science of fight/flight/freeze stress response and how meditation is the antidote to stress
  • Demonstration and experience of 3 simple meditation techniques to incorporate into high performing daily lives
  • Practical exercise to introduce the concept of mindfulness
  • Recommendations for practise and how to deal with distractions.

With an emphasis on the science and research, the workshop is designed to attract the sceptics and to provide solutions for those that think they don’t have the time or that their brains are too busy for meditation. Participants will gain the motivation, tools and confidence to start an easy regular practise to unlock the benefits.

Michelle Langer is a Facilitator, Executive Coach and wellbeing instructor who trained personally under Dr Deepak Chopra and The Chopra Center for Wellbeing. She has been teaching wellbeing, mindfulness & meditation courses for fifteen years, helping companies and individuals to address wellbeing challenges and achieve their full productive potential. She has particular expertise in working with top tier law firms including dwf and Simkins.
