Join us for lunch online on Wednesday 29 November 2023 1pm and let Caspar Glyn KC take you and your teams through the greatest changes in Holiday Pay since the Working Time Regulations were introduced a generation ago.

The Employment Rights (Amendment, Revocation and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2023, will come into force on 1 January 2024.

We shall cover:

  • The codification of the five different carry over rights in respect of holiday including the statutory duty on employers to enable holiday
    • Including how to extinguish that carry over
  • The rights to be paid holiday pay if holiday, including carry over holiday, is outstanding on termination
  • The changes to coronavirus carry-over
  • The codification of what will be ‘normal pay’
  • The new class of ‘irregular hours’ and ‘part year workers’ including the
    • Rate at which they accrue holiday
    • Rate at which they are paid holiday
    • The ability to pay these workers rolled up holiday pay and the necessary formalities when doing so
  • First thoughts on problems within the regulations, avoidance and risks
