Jeff is a Partner in leading Irish firm William Fry LLP. He is an experienced solicitor practising in the area of employment and equality law. He carries out work for a large number of public sector and private sector organisations and has assisted with all aspects of their employment law issues, both contentious and non-contentious.
Non-contentious work includes advising on recruitment, terms and conditions of employment, protection of confidential information, employment policies and procedures, disciplinary and grievance issues, performance management, restructuring, executive remuneration, termination of employment (including performance, disability and redundancy) and related settlements.
Additionally, Jeff spends considerable time advising on the employment law aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and tenders, and in particular advises extensively on the restructuring of organisations, which has resulted in an expertise in contractual issues arising from the employer/employee relationship as well as in Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE) matters.
Jeff also assists clients in achieving practical and commercial solutions to difficult contentious matters, if possible by resolving matters before clients incur the cost and administration time involved in lengthy litigation. However, if litigation is required, he has acted for clients before all the Irish employment fora.
