Paul joined Gaby Hardwicke from a Legal 500 firm where he was Head of Civil Litigation. In qualifying as a solicitor in 1998 he was awarded the Law Society’s National Prize for Outstanding Achievement. In 2006 he was awarded a Masters Degree in Advanced Employment Practice, with Distinction, by De Montfort University, Leicester. He has specialised in employment law for over 25 years during which time he has been involved in some of the leading cases in the fields of whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, disability and belief discrimination. He has successfully challenged the UK Government in the ECHR in Strasbourg.

Paul takes pride in working closely with employers from the outset to find innovative yet robust solutions to their employment issues. He has a recognised expertise in dealing with employment competition disputes, having authored a leading international textbook on the subject. In recent years Paul has appeared on the winning side of many of the leading cases involving directors’ duties, confidential information, database protection and restrictive covenant injunctions. Many of his cases have a commercial element and he routine advises on partnership and shareholder disputes.
