I am the co-founder and a partner at Torque Law LLP a specialist employment law firm based in York.

As an experienced employment law solicitor I understand the pressure felt by the directors and managers who are responsible for managing HR issues.

I use not only my in-depth knowledge of employment law, but also over 15 years of personal experience in advising business owners and managers, to provide practical and commercially aware advice to businesses across Yorkshire and the UK, enabling these issues to be dealt with as swiftly and painlessly as possible.

I help employers to deal with Employment Tribunal claims (including unfair dismissal and discrimination), discipline and grievance matters, negotiated Settlement Agreements, TUPE transfers and the employment aspects of corporate acquisitions and restructuring. I also prepare and advise upon employment contracts, policies and handbooks.

I help directors, executives and senior managers with issues relating to their own employment circumstances, most often advising on and negotiating a way out of their current work situations (usually ending with a Settlement Agreement) but also, and more positively, on terms for new employment and benefits arrangements.

We work differently at Torque Law and really get to know our clients and what works for them. Find out more at torquelaw.co.uk.

Please get in touch - we'd love to work with you!
