Simon Fenton is Fenton Elliott’s managing partner and founder. He qualified in 1993 having trained at Wilde Sapte (now SNR Denton) and been a partner at Penningtons, Thomas Eggar and Irwin Mitchell.

His wide business experience (in Marketing at Boots plc and music publishing in the USA) means he can put himself in your shoes and take a pragmatic, commercial approach. And his teaching experience with the British Council in Hong Kong, means he is great at explaining complex issues, persuading Employment Tribunals and undertaking training for clients.

Simon is an employment law specialist. He has conducted cases in Employment Tribunals, the High Court, Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal.

He works with HR professionals to support them in making the right decisions and getting stuff done, whether that is redundancy programmes, settlement agreements, employment tribunal litigation or disciplinary investigations.

In a nutshell he takes the risk out of employing people.

‘Simon is a quite brilliant commercial employment lawyer. He advises on what to do and how to do it - not on the law. He must know the law too, because he has won every case that he has taken to the tribunal for me. I would only ever use Simon as my employment lawyer.’ David Nuttall - Senior Property Manager - Johnson & Johnson
