Shoshana is a Senior Associate specialising in the full range of contentious and non- contentious employment law matters and legal issues relating to partnerships, LLPs and their members. Shoshana advises across a number of sectors, including the financial, legal and other professional services sectors. She has particular experience advising individuals and firms on exit and entry arrangements. Shoshana has led high value, sensitive and highly charged matters to a successful conclusion through both the Employment Tribunals and alternative dispute resolution.

Shoshana acts for employers, employees, senior executives, partners, members, LLPs, partnerships and professional service firms.

Her recent experience includes advising on retirement, expulsion, unfair dismissal, performance management, reorganisations, entitlements during partnership and obligations on exit, restrictive covenants, profit-sharing and remuneration structures, discrimination, whistle-blowing, fiduciary duties and duties of good faith.

Shoshana has significant experience negotiating and improving settlement terms for sensitive disputes involving senior personnel. She has a keen interest and wealth of experience advising on discrimination issues, flawed decision-making processes and data subject requests. She has also developed expertise in disputes involving private members’ clubs and religious institutions.

Shoshana devised a unique and highly engaging interactive equality training programme for employer clients, which was launched in 2018. Her article on avoiding discrimination in the workplace was published in Personnel Today.

Shoshana combines professionalism and commercial awareness with compassion. She addresses both legal and personal issues, always looking to provide a responsive and reliable service. Shoshana focuses on understanding her clients’ goals so that she can provide tailored strategies to achieve their objectives.

Shoshana recognises the importance of being able to explain complex legal concepts in a straightforward and accessible manner. Shoshana regularly analyses and interprets complex contractual terms and remuneration structures, bringing the relevant practical aspects to her clients’ attention Shoshana is noted for her patient and sincere approach and exemplary service. She has a particular interest in seeking to find practical and commercial resolutions protecting clients’ interests now and in the future.

Shoshana was ranked as a Rising Star by the Legal 500 (2020) and was mentioned as a “key contact” at Fox & Partners by the Legal 500 (2017) and Super Lawyers 2015 ranked Shoshana as a Rising Star for Employment Law.

Shoshana enjoys chairing workshops and panel discussions on a variety of partnership topics. Shoshana is also a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association and enjoys taking a leading role on charity committees. Shoshana has been appointed to various selection committees to assist with the recruitment of senior appointments and Rabbinic posts.
