I am a commercially minded and results-driven lawyer specialising in human resources and employment law. I provide prompt pragmatic advice on people issues.

I have been an employment lawyer for over 20 years.

I act or individuals (directors, employees, workers, partners and independent contractors) and organisations (multinational companies, public limited companies, small to medium-sized enterprises, public sector bodies and charities). This has included both employment and commercial related disputes in the employment tribunal, county court and High Court, which has ranged from, amongst other things, TUPE, whistleblowing, discrimination and restrictive covenants. I also provide advice on employment data protection issues.

I have extensive experience in:
• managing sensitive or challenging dismissals
• dealing with boardroom disputes
• protecting businesses against anti-competitive activities
• employment litigation
• executive terminations.

I have acted as solicitor/advocate in employment tribunals, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal. Some of these cases have been reported in the legal journals and the media.
My experience as an advocate provides clients with additional expertise when it comes to employment tribunals and strategies for the most complex cases.

I am a qualified workplace mediator.

I sit on the editorial board of the Employment Lawyers Association and I am the Editor of ELA Briefing.

I provide training to HR departments and in-house counsel and management.
