Katie Burley (née White) is a solicitor in the Field Seymour Parkes LLP employment group. She joined the firm in 2014 from a leading regional firm based in Sussex. Katie is the head of the firm’s education group and uses her invaluable inside knowledge of the workings of independent schools and extensive experience in providing advice to educational establishments to the full advantage of the firm’s education sector clients.
Katie’s areas of expertise include defending employment tribunal claims, dismissal management, advising upon restrictive covenants and drafting complex contracts of employment. She is an astute negotiator and has a reputation for gaining excellent settlement deals for her clients. Katie also works closely with the firm's corporate team on the employment aspects of business transactions as well as providing general day-to-day advice to clients on all types of employment issues. She has a particular interest in handling the exit negotiations of senior personnel.
