Georgina joined the Bar in 2009 after a successful 15 year career as a solicitor, including, latterly as Director of Legal for Unite the Union.
Georgina has represented Claimants and Respondents/Defendants in a range of final hearings and procedural hearings both in court and tribunal and has acted in appeals including to the Supreme Court, albeit now usually instructed by employers.
Her led work includes successful representation of the employer at the Court of Appeal in the Kostal v Dunkely and others inducement to remove a term from collective bargaining case , and will include representing Addison Lee in its pending Court of Appeal hearing regarding the employment status of its cab drivers.
She has a special interest in the cross over between commercial and competition law, and their impact in the employment sphere, and is well placed to advise on the tax and employment overlap as she has a developing tax practice arising from her GLD panel work.
