I work for both employers and employees across a broad range of practice areas. It is particularly in contentious matters that my experience of acting for both sides comes to the fore and means that I have an insight into the workings and tactics of my opponent.
I am extremely sensitive to my clients’ needs and am always prepared to take every step necessary to ensure that they get the best deal possible. When acting for employees, I recognise that they will often have instructed me at a very difficult time for them personally and I work with them to agree a strategy which protects their interests and allows them to move their working relationship forward in the most beneficial way possible for them.
For employers, I head up and advise within our employer advisory scheme, HRExpress. I focus on methods of work and results which allow my client to focus on the management of their business, knowing that I am committed to protecting them from claims and allowing the workplace to operate smoothly and happily.
I am experienced in advising across the full spectrum of employment law including redundancy and restructuring, contract and handbook advice, departure situations and Settlement Agreements, capability issues and discrimination.
I have been described by former clients as “a real expert in her field”, “extremely efficient and straight talking” and “professional, yet friendly”.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching sport (particularly cricket and rugby union), cooking, reading and spending time with my two daughters.
