PROFILE:
A freelance Solicitor Advocate with proven track record managing high profile casework; possessing specialist knowledge of substantive and procedural law concerning commercial fraud, confiscation and now environment and countryside crime.

Appointed to the CPS General Crime advocacy panel list at level 2. Agent advocate for CPS Thames Chiltern Area (2 days a week) and designated preferred advocate in Domestic Violence cases. Regularly instructed in DWP fraud and animal welfare prosecutions.

Employment lawyer and adviser specialising in agricultural labour disputes. Employment law knowledge was built up a former employment law lawyer (adviser on Agency Workers rights) and Convenor and Secretary of several branches of the FDA (First Division Association) in three Government Departments. This involved representing members on pay, conditions, harassment and equality claims and with redundancy terms and agreements due to Government cutbacks. I was a trained investigator and JEGS trained for evaluation of posts and remuneration.

I left the civil service having served with Crown Prosecution Service, Department for Trade and Industry (now BIES) and HM Customs and Excise.

I have a proven track record in settling employment terms of fair terms for both employees and employers.

I write regularly on Firearms and employment matters for the National Game Keepers Association and for Knights Solicitors as panel solicitors for the NFU.
